Dear Friend of Marriage Equality Silicon Valley:
The annual San José Pride Parade and Festival will take place this weekend, June 13–14, in downtown San José. Marriage Equality Silicon Valley, along with other local organizations, will have its own contingent in the parade on Sunday, and we want to recruit YOU! Come march with us under the banner of marriage equality, along with your family and friends, on Sunday morning, June 14. We will meet at the parking lot at the corner of West St. John and Market streets at 8:45 am; the parade will begin at 10:00 am. All are welcome: straight, gay, married, unmarried, want-to-get-married-but-can't!
In addition, MESV, along with its partners, will have a booth at Discovery Meadow for both the free Family Entertainment Day, Saturday, June 13, and the Festival on June 14. Look for the marriage equality banner, and stop by our booth to say hello and learn how you can help make a difference locally in the struggle for equal rights. We are still looking for a few volunteers to staff the booth; please email Steve Kline at slkesq@me.com if you would like to volunteer a few hours of your time.
